15 Minute Lessons

Less is more, when it comes to reading practice

Stop your Easyread lessons at 15 minutes, to get the maximum progress. 15 minutes may not seem like long enough, especially for children who have been struggling for years. But a child’s brain can only work at peak intensity for short amount of time — and that is without any additional attention deficit issues.

Aim for a short, super high quality decoding lesson, rather than an hour of practice like you would get with a weekly tutor.

This also helps us keep children coming back for more. Many struggling readers have built up stress and anger around learning to read. Keep things light and short relieves that… in fact, parents often tell us they can’t believe that their kids actually ASK to do Easyread each day!
