“I know I always rave about the programme, but one thing I might not have said yet is that it’s so nice how you care about all the kids! Even though we’re on the other side of the world, I’ve always had the strong sense that you are actually interested in his progress and achievements, and it’s been wonderful. And Arlo winning the award at the start of the year was brilliant – a real confidence boost!
Also, Arlo’s spelling has improved incredibly. A year and a half ago his writing was purely phonetic, nothing was spelt correctly. You could always get the gist of what he was saying by reading it out, but it was pretty dismal… And while he still needs to work on his spelling (who doesn’t?) the difference is really amazing!”
