When we first started Easyread, I thought that I’d be getting my money back at Lesson 90. Boy, was I wrong. Before Easyread, Isaac refused to read even short words like “dog” or “cat.” The whole process had become so stressful that he ran out of the room screaming every time we asked him to look at a word. Trainer text changed that from the first day. By day 10, he had picked up on how the system worked. By day 60, he came home and announced that he had “decoded” the word “liberty” all by himself at school. Now, Isaac is reading short books with us, and he was placed in the advanced group in his kindergarten class, even though he’s the youngest one there. Truly, we’re so impressed. We’re going to continue with the program just to see how far it can take him. If 90 lessons have gotten us here, where will 120 lessons take us? Or 150?

Trainer text has been such an incredible primary intervention for Isaac. I think it would help a number of his friends who are still struggling in same place as he was just 90 days ago. I’d really love to see you guys develop the 3-5 y-o version, and I’d be curious to see you test it compared to more standard literacy education programs. Traditional phonics based programs seem so stuffy and boring by comparison.
