Famous Dyslexics: Actress Angie Le Mar couldn’t read a script… but hit the big time!

Actress and comedian Angie Le Mar discussed how a director actually ‘diagnosed’ her with dyslexia during one fateful audition. She’d always had a flair for the stage, but the idea of reading a script sent shivers up her spine.

“It was a nightmare,” she says.

During one audition for a theater piece that launched her international career, she struggled so painfully through a reading that the director asked if she’d ever had help for a reading disorder. Which directly led to Angie’s dyslexia discovery.

Oh… and she got the part anyway!
