So all seems to be going well so far. I think Emma is about to turn a corner – her school reading books are now very easy for her and she is beginning to read more fluently and a bit more quickly. She still tends to guess the odd word with her school reading but I think it’s just that if she’s reading quickly she might skim a bit too much. When that happens I ask her to slow down and decode and then she does it just fine. We are on holiday at the moment so we’ve said we’ll take a break from Easyread and she is choosing to reading books instead. She really wants to do this. In fact she is reading quite a lot at the moment! 🙂
