Ceri and I work daily – or as close to daily as we can – on Easyread and she is very happy to do so. She enjoys the activities and decodes clearly, accurately and always with a smile.
At this stage her confidence is far greater, and her reluctance to read is less. She is happier at school – although as you said I wouldn’t say any skills have transferred yet.
I am really impressed how well she can decode in the story mode…recognising the image sound and reading the text that has no letters. I enjoy watching and reading it with her.
All in all we are happy, and for me that is a huge part of the journey. I hope we can look back in a year and say, ‘yep…glad we did that!’
