For the first time this week, Hugh tackled a word he did not know from memory. He decoded it himself without me asking him to break it down. I think that he realized himself that he did it and was surprised and delighted. He has a huge bank of sight words and long unfamiliar words cause him problems so I was delighted to see this small change.
