So far so good with my son’s reading. He is enjoying the lessons and seems to be reading the story reasonably well. I have noticed he is attempting to read words around him – on packets, signs, etc., which he didn’t do before.
For me, Easyread is great because it feels like there is finally something positive I can do with him. He has had a lot of challenges including moving from a completely non-English speaking school last year, along with 3 open heart surgeries which have needed lengthy anaesthetics, and therefore may well have affected his memory.
For a long time I was quite despairing that he would EVER learn to read but now I do feel more hopeful.
