Cooper was willing to complete daily lessons with weekends off. He did not complain about the course which is good and means he liked it. Daily school homework was NOT as favorable. 🙂 He also preferred Easy Read to his school tutoring sessions and we believe that Easyread helped far more than the schools efforts to improve his reading. They have a set program which tends to focus more on speed of reading w/out errors and comprehension. While Cooper really needed to slow down and sound out the words.
Cooper’s reading levels in school improved over the school year by 6 levels (while the average is 3-4) so he made a LOT of progress. He is able to read his own homework (such as math problems) while at the start of the school year, he needed help. His teacher also stated that he has developed strong methods for comprehension despite missing many words.
