QUESTION 1) Are you seeing Matthew reading the short words accurately now, without often needing the trainertext characters?
ANSWER – Yes he’s doing really well with short words, and I’ve been really impressed by how quickly he’s moved from being able to only sound out CVC words to – magically – being able to sound out words with weird phonics that don’t work. His confidence is massive and he volunteered to read out loud in church last week.
