I am so incredibly pleased with Max’s progress on the Easyread System.
In only the 2 months that we have been doing Easyread, Max has gone from being an extremely reluctant reader to a willing and confident reader, who takes his time more and will decode words rather than use guesswork, which was a huge issue originally.
Doing Easyread has definitely become a routine for us. Although of course there are the very occasional days that he is reluctant, he knows that it is helping him and he knows that it will help him hugely in the future. Max always decodes the story and then repeats each sentence so it sounds fluent.
Max has progressed up 3 reading levels at school since starting Easyread – this has only been 2 months and 6 weeks of that was the summer holidays! Max even came home from school last week full of smiles and told me ‘mum I am feeling so much better with my reading, thank you for paying for me to do Easyread’. This was so good to hear and has clearly instilled a great deal of confidence in Max too so big smiles all around!
