Just to share a piece of news with yourselves. One morning last week we went into our drawing room to find Malachie engrossed in Little Manfred by Michael Morpurgo. He had chosen it by himself and was reading unaided. He had instigated the whole process. Words cannot describe adequately how we felt at that moment. When we started Easyread it felt like it was our last chance at a significant element of Malachie’s education. We are so glad we did it. He is still challenged but now sees what magic there is to unfold by picking up a book and reading it. He has hardly put the book down since – reading whenever and wherever he gets a chance.
