Her decoding is much more consistent now. I still have to prompt her on occasions not to guess, but this is becoming less and less of an issue. She read a level 4 Biff and Chip book to me yesterday, this would have been unheard of the week before easy read!!!
Mair finds the personalised messages really helpful. She really thinks your watching her and she loves the concept of trying hard for ‘David and Sarah’. (this is her own concept not one I have created) Coupled with all the praise, prizes, certificates fun online activities, Mair finds easy read very motivating and is always asking me to tell her teacher in school how well she’s doing. I never thought I would see this attitude from Mair towards reading!!
