I'm pleased to tell you that…
I’m pleased to tell you that Oliver motivation is pretty good. It did dip alittle before Christmas but we had a long break over the holiday and that seems to have left Oliver refreshed. It’s also helped that he’s now much more able to read the books he gets from school. In addition, he seems to have been getting lots of positive reinforcement at school, which is very helpful!
Best wishes,
Stephen

Jolyon is keen for me to let you know…
Jolyon is keen for me to let you know that he has done very well tonight with Easyread and also at his spelling test in school today. He promises to get back to doing Easyread everyday and his reading is getting so good that he is reading this as I write!

Just wanted to let you know that…
Just wanted to let you know that I’m finding Aaron coming on really well since he has been doing regular easyread lessons.
Even the de-coding of the three little pigs story has become much easier and now he is decoding the text quicker than me!
He has just moved up to the next reading group in his class in school and is feeling much more confident in his ability to read.
I’m delighted to have found a programme which works so effecively while at the same time being fun.
Many thanks for your continued help and support,
Kind regards,
Ursula
Easyread has given both Charlie and me…
Easyread has given both Charlie and me a purpose and hope. The simple repetition, good humour and low key encouragement has been great for Charlie. The prizes and supportive letters make a big difference to him. I have found your verbal and written advice invaluable, for the first time I have felt able to help Charlie, rather than merely highlight to both of us how he was failing to read. Like Charlie, the simple repetition and good humoured advice you give to parents/assistants works at keeping me calm and moving forward. A big thanks from both of us.

Stephen is doing really well and…
Stephen is doing really well and is pleased with himself. When reading school books he sometimes guesses but when reminded to decode he then makes out the word.

Great sounding out now…
Great sounding out now generalised to spelling and reading generally. Much better focus on reading the stories in lessons.Although still making 2/3 errors and omissions in school reading books (per page)
Aidan picked up a newspaper yesterday and ‘read ‘ the headlines- first time ever!
Best Wishes Audrey
I am so excited…
I am so excited, Saskia has never sounded out words before on her own and after this first lesson she has, she is so pleased with herself and I can see a way forward for her for the first time.

I think he's stopped guessing…
I think he’s stopped guessing in the reading section, it really sounds like he’s decoding properly and there’s a fluidity to it we didn’t have before, it feels more natural.

I am really pleased with…
I am really pleased with the progress that Tom has made to date and his reading confidence is growing all the time.

Marc is doing well in Level three…
Marc is doing well in Level three. The longer stories are no problem. Sometimes he starts asking questions, so then we get tight on time, so I do have to urge him on, to keep reading until the pages are read and then to ask questions.
He is enjoying the Ungar story.
Many thanks and best regards,
Lindsay
Although Katherine should not be showing signs…
Although Katherine should not be showing signs of improvement yet she definitely is! There are some very positive comments from her Teacher in her Reading Record and she is gaining in confidence at home, tackling new books and magazines. She is constantly asking to read to me or her Father whereas she would do anything rather than pick up a book before. I am so looking forward to her ‘expected’ improvement, Katherine is a poor loser and I think she can sense victory ahead too hence her enthusiasm!
One of the good things about Easyread is the length of time the lessons take, she never has time to get tired of it and is really excited when we get a prize codeword.
Perhaps the story (Three Little Pigs) is a little too long, she is now wanting the story to end.
One thing, she is still mistaking her D’s for B’s but not often the other way round. This is when she tries to read faster – although I wouldn’t say she was guessing because she does decode unfamiliar words. I’ve noticed the this is also the case when she is reading the story with just the characters too, is this ‘normal’or has she just associated these characters with either/or B and D?
Many thanks Joanne
Guy was delighted to receive…
Guy was delighted to receive a codeword, BULL, yesterday!
He has persevered with the course and it is paying off. A recent meeting with his school has upped his reading age by nearly 3 years (since he has been doing this course) and his spelling is improving, albeit very slowly.
The Dyslexia is very apparent now with clearer handwriting – we can all SEE where the mistakes are but it is showing that Guy has developed the self confidence to ‘have a go’. The school is delighted and have placed him on the SENCO register and we are delighted – he is reading,TRYING to spell and his imaginative work has improved also.
Even maths is beginning to improve. Guy tries to make a conscious effort not to twist the figures back to front which we can only guess how difficult this must be for him.
So that is the progress report to date!
Kind regards
Karen
Adam is progressing well and…
Adam is progressing well and his confidence and fluency has developed. This has also shown improvements when reading books. Thank You, Paul

Just to let you know that…
Just to let you know that Jolyon is back on track with Easyread now after his hiccup. He is not as keen as he was initially but is generally doing well and it is certainly helping him alot with reading, spelling and confidence. I am very grateful to have found something to make such a difference to him.

Just thought you might like to hear…
Just thought you might like to hear teacher’s note this evening in H’s reading book:-
“18.1.11 – Lovely reading. H has come on so much in recent weeks. Everything is clicking together well – excellent! Words – WOW * 10 new words.”
Very pleased! 🙂

just a note to let you know that…
just a note to let you know that we are very happy with easy read. Any problems we are having is down to us and our inability to perform easy read as often as we should.
With that said we are already seeing an improvement in Conor’s reading he has moved up a level in his school books and we can see that he has more confidence and is attaching words a lot better.
I know we should not see this so soon but i think something has clicked for Conor.
Thank you for all your support and i have to say the prizes were a great incentive not to mention how appropriate they were for Conor.
Thanks again
Aisling
Erica excited to be on another level of easyread…

Finn has noticeably raised confidence and…
Finn has noticeably raised confidence and self belief and is now decoding words well. He was very perturbed by decoding the three little pigs using the icons only. He has managed to overcome his initial resistance by persevering and now has made positive progress. He told me over breakfast today that he is going to try and read The Butterfly Lion by Micheal Morpurgo. I am delighted by this as it shows he has set his sights high and is not allowing himself to be held back by a belief that he cannot read. I know it will be slow but sure , however the fact that he wants to do this is a real turning point.
Thankyou,
Lucinda
I'm very pleased with Easyread so far…
I’m very pleased with Easyread so far. The course is well organised and the support is excellent. I have been very impressed with the response and questions via the messaging system.
Ciaran is happy to do the course and is not at all resistant to doing the lessons.
We are getting towards the stage when we hope to see an improvement in his reading etc. Hopefully that will happen
Anton
Frankie is progressing well and…
Frankie is progressing well and now ‘decoding’ some quite long words, but I noticed that she struggled with pterodactyl without the easy read characters above it.
She guessed at one word in the last session – apart from that she read everything correctly, although slowly.
Kind regards,
Jan
I'm so glad we've started Easyread because…
I’m so glad we’ve started Easyread because it’s positive, appropriate and motivating.Aidan is on the cusp ,I think of finding out that there is a difference between his reading ability and his peers and I am worried because there is a very poor record of support for dyslexia in his school.I have been in touch with the local dyslexia association and they have given me some strategies to help with his literacy homework. Thanks for the support.
Best Wishes Audrey
