I asked Oliver to spell some words the other day, and i was so impressed! so much so i asked him to spell more and more words and he was getting 80-90% if not more correct. Words like Penguin etc, I can only attribute this down to him learning the easyread system and using the phonetics characters to correctly spell the words.

His reading confidence has risen a great deal and his reading age has gone up a year since he has been doing the system, it went up 3 months in the previous 12 months. This is fantastic!

He has had a Dyslexic assesment and I am waiting for the report to come through.

Harry had a reading test done at school last week and his reading age went upto 11 years +  which is wonderful! We have noticed he is sounding out new words much better now, he still needs prompting but the behaviour is definately kicking in. Thank you.

Harvey’s reading has improved to such an extent that his teachers have all commented on his progress.  He’s on the last level of the Oxford reading tree at school and pretty soon I would imagine he’ll be a ‘free reader’ which means he can read on his own without any guidance. I think it would be better for him to go onto level 4 –

After a worrying report from school at the end of the last academic year, we realised that Archie needed some intervention to assist him. Although he didn’t show any obvious signs of great weakness (he had an average reading ability, though lazy with difficult words/his spelling was poor/writing was acceptable, though slow). Despite him being creative and artistic, putting stories down in words proved extremely difficult for him. As a result of this, his end of year results indicated that he was performing at ‘well below the average for his age’ in English Writing, and ‘performing at an average level for his age’ in English Reading.

We came across Easyread while doing research online and decided to give it a go. Archie started the program last October and embraced it immediately. He loved the ‘Secret Agent’ element and the possibility of receiving gadgets when he met milestones. We saw a marked improvement in Archie’s performance and his self belief. After the last half-term, Archie returned to school believing that he didn’t have a spelling test that week. When it was thrust upon him and a list that he had never seen before, he was delighted to get 16 correct from 16! This would never have happened previously. We knew there had been a vast improvement, and were so proud of his achievement.

The icing on the cake came last week when we received his end of year report for this current acadmeic year. Archie has leaped from below Level 2 in his English Writing to a level 4 for this year. This indicates that he is now performing at ‘well above the expected level for his age’. His level on English Reading has gone from 3C ‘average’, to a level 4 ‘well above average for his age’ which is fantastic news.

In conclusion, I would say that Archie’s confidence and the commitment to producing good work has soared. Previously, he struggled and just didn’t believe he was capable. He now realises he can do it and throughly enjoys the recognition and satisfaction of his achievements. Easyread is the only change we have made to Archie’s learning. The 5 or 10 minutes it takes each day has without question been worth it, and nobody would agree more than our 9 year old.

We are very pleased with Easyread. Our daughter is still enjoying it even after six weeks.
And the school have reported an improvement in her reading, and also her spelling; which was our main concern.

she is now reading easy normal reading books which is fabulous, as she has gone from being a complete non reader in any shape or size and now reading simple books i’m really impressed with what it is that you do guys down there….

Hi David. I thought you might like to hear about Ollies parents evening visit. His teacher said his improvemnet since Easter but especially in the last 2 weeks has been outstanding. He has had a reading housepoint for every day since going back. Also his writing is loads better. he attempted “I went to spain on holiday. I went to an aquarium”. She was so pleased with him. 

Anyway he loves easyread: it really engages him and the confidence it has given him has translated into school.Thanks and long may it continue.

We love easyread so much, the lessons are nice and short, I dont get any tanturms doing it, the boys cant wait to see what the game selector will select, their particular favourite is fighter mission, and the new funky monkey we did today is terrific. Learning should be fun and that is what Easyread is.
