She's positive about the programme
She’s still positive about the programme. She said to me today that she wants to get to turquoise at school by Christmas – which is 2 levels above what she is now and she thinks Easy read has helped her.
She loves the new found confidence!
Vast improvement already!
We ARE already seeing a vast improvement in his reading and confidence. He is still loving Easyread and it continues to be a pleasure rather than a chore for both of us!!
We are delighted with the progress so far and feeling far more optimistic about next year at school as his improved reading is going to positively affect so much!
I have found it good.
I HAVE FOUND IT GOOD AND FUN. I LIKED THE STORY. FROM DILLON.
We're so pleased
Yeah! We’re all so happy to reach this milestone. Annabelle has come so far and we are so pleased. She really liked the last lessons.
What a joy.
I just wanted to send a quick thank you for the prizes from the first 2 code words. Kirrin was ecstatic to receive them! He woke up this morning and the first thing he said was – “can I do my easy read now?” He is really enjoying his lessons. We really enjoy watching him and his growing enthusiasm for reading. Where before he showed little to no interest in reading, today he is picking out random words – on cereal boxes, on post-it notes, on signs, and trying to decode them. What a joy.
Major improvements!
We are now 43 lessons into Easyread. So far so good! Josephine is very enthusiastic about doing her Easyread lessons. I have seen MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS IN HER CONFIDENCE and slow steady progress in her decoding skills. In particular she is now able to separate out the sounds in a word. Before she had difficulty identifying the middle sounds in particular. Also she is not guessing nearly as much and when she does she is much more easily redirected back to the text.
So far she still seems mostly disinterested in picking up a book on her own. We are not pushing her at all. Although when we do read some together she seems less stressed then before. Which is awesome.
I feel so happy
I feel so happy to be on 4. I worked so hard with my mom. My teacher says I am improving in class with reading and science and social studies. The lessons are hard and easy. The lessons help a lot with reading improvement. I would tell other people about easy read because it helps a lot and it is fun. My friend and family is happy.
Great improvement
Noah is doing well with the story and also with fluency. I have seen a great improvement in his reading of his school work in the past few weeks. Motivation remains good
Such a blessing!
FYI – Grace was able to read almost the entire above sentences (she only needed help with “little” and “thought”)! Easyread is such a blessing to our family! Thank you very much!
We never thought this was possible!
Just wanted to give you an update on Jamie. Over the summer he attended summer school where they identified he is now only 6 months below his reading age. But the most exciting thing for us and Jamie is that he is actually enjoying reading, something we never thought possible. He loves reading books and comics online. We definitely put this down to the work he did with easyread. Thanks you so much. It’s so wonderful to see.
Thanks for helping me
I like the stories and the games in Easyread. It has helped me a lot in reading. Thanks for helping me learn to read much better.
Liam's reading is now perfect
I had a meeting with Liam’s teachers again on Friday and Liam’s reading is perfect. he is now at the Level (or above) of his class and requires no more support. Thank you to you and the team at Easyread. Liam would never have “cracked” how to read without your help.
Rarely makes a mistake now.
I feel it is going well. Amalie is reading everything well in the programme including the story. If she fluffs a word she knows to reread as many times as it takes to read it correctly. That said she rarely makes a mistake. I can see an improvement in recognising the importance of syllables from beginning to end. In other reading material she still has a habit of putting little extra words and still gets overwhelmed or brainfreeze as she calls it when presented with more complex words like,’ independence’ or ‘eruption’. But all in all I can see greater confidence and a better understanding of how words are composed. PS A fart machine would be a major source of excitement and hilarity in this house. Yes please!
Reading age now on target
Just had school report today. Flora (age 7) has Reading age of 7 yrs 3 months and Spelling Age of 6 years 6 months. Commentary included developing ‘range of strategies to decode unfamiliar words and self-correct.’
Hi, it's me Joseph.
hi its me Joseph thanks for helping me to read with out you i would never been able to read sorry that i have been of for a long time wish you luck Joseph
Program is fantastic
Our son has really picked up and is doing much better at reading. We initially started this program so we could get him interested and help him work through some focus issues. Thankfully, your program has been fantastic and we are in a good place.
Reading Harry Potter!
Christopher has read a page out of the third Harry potter book this evening and was pleased with how he did.
This is real progress as a year ago he tried to read a bit of the first page of the first book and really struggled with nearly every other word.
I am a very good reader
Dear David,
Thanks for making me a better reader. School is getting a bit easier now that I am a very good reader. Thanks for your help and encouragement.
I cannot wait to get the last code word on day 10!!!!!!

An excellent program
I truly think that you provide an excellent program and I will be advocating it at any opportunity.
I had a wonderful time!
Thank you David. I have had a wonderful time in level 3. I will recommend this to people with learning difficulties with spelling like me.
Stunned, shocked, and delighted!
Dear David and Sarah,
I just wanted to let you know that Zackery started to read on his own accord from Friday.
He has been asking for it himself, we have not pushed the issue at all. Why is it such a big deal?
Well, he has never done it before. Reading was always a battle, something he did not want to do so we had to use all sorts of strategies to get him reading.
Now he is initiating, he does not moan after a few pages that its too much. He simply wants to read.
Zack picked his Oxford reading tree books, on Friday he read 6 stories in level one (of course well below his reading level at school but at least he wants to do it) and than he read The Gruffalo back to back. Twice.
Today after Easyread we read a story of level 4 from the Oxford Reading Tree.
We have a few words read from back to front, but much, much less. Also the amount of reading words that are not even there has gone down an incredible amount.
All in all, a great result so far. To be honest I have not expected this so early (just today we have done lesson 30).
Are there any suggestions or things we need to be careful of or look out for now?
Sorry to go on about this but we are stunned, shocked but most of all delighted.
Thank you so much for your help and support. I think that speaking to David has had an amazing effect on my son
Resistance to reading has declined
I am happy with Easyread so far. Josh’s resistance to reading has definitely declined and we seem to be seeing some signs of improvement in his reading, so looks like it is going in the right direction.
To David
to David: I loved easyread because there were jokes, riddles and stories – B
