Luke is doing very well with his Easyread – no real problems.

He started a new school in September and has settled in well.  This is great as we did not enjoy Y2 at his last school.

They have 3 spelling groups in Y3 and he is currently in the lowest group – it is a selective school so he has done well anyway.  Also the spellings he is currently getting are very easy for him – he does not need to learn them as he can already spell the words.  This is good at the moment as he is getting confidence and on more than one occasion he has told me that he should be in the next group up – great ambition!

I can’t tell you how happy we have been with the course and how proud we are of Jacob with the progress he has made from the beginning to the end of the program. Jacob couldn’t read more than a couple of words when we started and I can quite happily say he is now a confident reader and has made a vast improvement with his spellings too.

I would recommend this fantastic course to anyone and feel it is the best thing we could have done for him. Once again thank you to David and your team for your help and support.

We are very happy with the improvements in Izzy’s reading as a result of the Easyread course, she is now choosing to read books to herself (lots of them, thank goodness for libraries!).

Rosie is enjoying her Easyread lessons. She works mostly independently on the Funky Monkey game and has got quite fast.The pictures that support the letters and sounds work very well for Rosie, both in her Easyread lesson and with her homework.We have printed some copies of the pictures that we use when she reads and writes at home.

Lilys progress has been amazing, she was struggling at school and I was called in on several occasions. Lily couldn’t remember her sounds or letters. The SENCO was and has been very supportive, and after each visit she would send me home with several things for Lily to work on, none of which really helped.

They were very concerned about her progress and I was worried to the point of sleepless nights and tears!.

Imagine my suprise then, when only a few weeks into Easyread her teachers are writing in her Reading Diary how much she was improving in class. I told them that Lily has been doing Easyread and since then have recommended it to other parents. They even looked into having it at the school but their budget could not allow it.

Since then Lily has gone from strength to strength and has won several awards for her progress, the last one being Best Improved Pupil. Her overall behaviour has also improved and she no longer tries distraction tactics to prevent her from reading.

Lily had just gone on to Stage 3 Biff and Chip – a few months ago ago she couldnt say her sounds….

Lily is getting better at her fluency but she takes her time and we are building on that.

We still have a long way to go but with the help of the team at Easyread and Lily’s hard work I know we can get there.

We are more than happy with the support you have given us and the fact that you are available at the end of the phone is a big plus.

The structure of the course has suited Lily although she struggles with a lot of the words in the Three Little Pigs, (the larger words)but we work on these together.

I love the fact that you tell us when she has done her days work – Fab idea!

Having watched Isi read over the last 40 odd lessons I can honestly say she has become a lot more fluent. She still gets stuck on some of the phonics but a quick check of the Easyread character soon puts her right. She doesn’t seem to be guessing words anymore and her decoding in her “normal” reading seems to be much improved.

We have really high hopes that Isabelle will continue to progress and I think she herself feels happier as she can feel how much easier it is each week.

She really enjoys the letter quest game and the adrenaline certainly kicked in whilst trying to avoid the monster.

So far we have found the Easyread course a great inspiration. It was difficult for us to get Callum to take any interest in reading, now after starting this course, he is managing to cope much better. His interest is being maintained through the interactive aspects of the course and the excellent prizes. He is very keen to do the lessons and his confidence in his ability to read is much improved. The support from the tutorials, telephone calls and e-mails is faultless. Granny heard his reading for the first time in 3 months and has noticed a marked improvement already. David’s manner and method of delivery in the lessons is pitched perfectly for Callum.

He has been so chuffed with his prizes and in fact his “big hand-writing” session at school yesterday was the best he has ever done – a whole page of A4 in 45 minutes. He says the Easyread is making it all much easier and so we feel that we are already seeing a response to the program. He is a much happier person in himself too. Great stuff!

We’ve found the system to be very good so far. The mix of games and reading has been really good for motivating Elina and making it fun. It has been really useful to be able to discuss her progress with you and to ask questions as well. It took a little while to get into the exercise of reading just from the characters rather than letters but I am sure this has helped a great deal. I think one of the main things I would highlight to others is how much the system has helped to take the stress out of practicing reading – both for Elina and for us trying to support her. The transformation happened very early on and the design of the course really supports this process.

I am delighted to report back that we have seen some wonderful progress in Joshua’s reading. One of the best things we have seen is the way he has grown in confidence. This is seen through him trying to read text in a variety of places such as cereal boxes, game instructions, road signs etc. He is enjoying the fact that he has improved significantly and now wants to read rather than seeing it as a chore. His improvement is also shown through the development of reading at school and the speed at which he is now learning sight words. He is guessing less and decoding much, much more. Joshua really seems to have connected with the Easyread process, loves the encouragement through the programme that has come in various forms – especially the prizes! A great motivating factor!! I have found Easyread easy.The story was hard work but I’ve managed to crack it. My favourite story was Ungar the Caveboy. I enjoyed the story thoroughly. I enjoyed the game Shooting Range. My reading has improved 100%. Easyread was great fun. I loved how you set up the games.

I’m much more confident in reading than I was before I started. Easyread has changed my life. Thank you for your support and help. I will enjoy reading from now on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far, so good! Ethan is progressing well and still very motivated with the program, especially when he knows he has achieved a codeword and can expect something in the post. He is becoming more confident with his reading and we are very happy with everything to date.

Michael is now in grade 4 and reads at just below grade level. What’s amazing about that is that one year ago he could only read some words, not a whole sentence ever. And of course no comprehension of what he read.
Through the picture symbols he has slowly learned to decode words and now he can also read writing, in fact faster than the pictures.
I wish more parents knew about Easyread. I think too many parents think their kids are not too bright and/or lazy.

Callum is progressing nicely with the course, also I feel that it is helping with his confidence with his reading at school. Callum really enjoys the format of the lessons and the back up is great.

We are very, very excited about Gabriel. He really did most of
the work — and your program made all the difference. We were just the
encouragement in the background. In the beginning he learned your
characters so quickly, it was really like magic. Just goes to show that
the right teaching method makes all the difference. I never thought I’d
see the day when he WANTED to read. I’m an avid reader, and he loves to
learn, so I was sad for him that he didn’t want to dive into books (except
to look at pictures). It might be a good idea to write a case study for
Gabriel because we actually have reading level measures for him:
– Before starting Easyread he was at Kindergarten month 10
– 6 weeks into Easyread he was at 2nd grade month 6
– I can ask them if they will re-measure him in a couple months to see if
he’s all caught up

It would be a great way to show how the system works.

I found Easyread mostly fun to do and feel like I have really achieved something by finishing the course. I think it has really helped my reading, slowed me down, improved my ability to decode words and increased my confidence.

Despite the fact that Asher has only just turned 5 at the end of Nov 11, he is doing really well on the program. He thinks of Easyread as a treat! He doesn’t need a lot of help, he knows all the easyread characters and knows how to check what he thinks the sounds of the word are by first looking at the letter, then checking with the easyread characters.

He does seem a little slower at sounding out each word (both in the games and the story) – but it doesn’t appear to be due to hesitation though; just longer pauses between saying each sound.

Due to his young age, he still prefers to use highlight mode to help him focus on one word at a time (even after we’ve done the ten and ten). However, his short term memory is excellent so he can sound out a word, then repeat the words previously read to say the sentence.

As with Jaydon, we are so pleased that we made the investment with Easyread. We tell any parent or grandparent who will listen about how amazing it is. And since Jaydon is a bit ahead of Asher, we know what amazing results we can expect in terms of his normal reading in the not too distant future.

Dylan appears to be coping well with the programme. He is certainly more motivated to read now and will attempt to sound out words, something he was not keen to do prior to starting. Initially he found sounding out using the symbols only very difficult, but he now copes well with this process and will often decode quicker than me.  We are happy with the programme and hope that these improvements, will translate into his reading in the near future.

T (6 weeks into the program)

I have been EXTREMELY pleased with Easyread in everyway! I appreciate the personal interaction to check on my son’s progress with phone interviews and messages. Although the reading program seems simple at first glance, I think it is genius! Cole’s confidence has come up so much! He doesn’t hate to read anymore- in fact he has started finding books on his own to read without any prompting or pushing! I know we still have a way to go, but he has already come so far! And I want to add that I think the value of this program for the cost is exceptional! I feel blessed that i came across this program so early in Cole’s education. It will make all the difference in the long run!
