Parent Reviews of Easyread

Our most recent reviews:

He is actually wanting to read books now!…

Owen is really benefiting from Easyread-he is actually wanting to read books now! Although we are the only six weeks in I have seen a drastic improvement in his confidence, so can’t wait to see how he is by the end of the course.

I have found having someone at the end of the phone – who understands the struggles Owen faces, as such a help to me.

Owen know most of the characters now and he really enjoys the games. He was not so keen on the story but as he is improving he is enjoying these too.

I have no negative feedback. All in all very pleased with program and have recommended it to anyone who wants to listen!

We were so proud and amazed…

Just to pass on some progress- we were called in to school following the holidays. Luke’s teacher wanted us to see the work he had completed before half term and we were so proud and amazed at the improvement in his writing, spelling and reading.

All great to see and hear. This is his last Primary term and these steps will reap such reward as he moves to Senior school and future life.

Kind regards

Amanda

I'm confident…

We’re very pleased with the progress to date. It does seem to be making a difference to Frances’ reading and I’m confident that it will benefit her spelling also.

Easyread is so good…

Easyread is so good as it helped me to be better at reading and writing. Thank you.

From Matthew (age 7)

I have been astounded…

Tyler completed his last lesson on the course last night. I have been astounded with his progress and cannot thank the team enough for their amazing support and for creating the Easyread System.

A lovely boost…

Thanks for sorting out the Silver Certificate! It’s given Josh a lovely boost to pin in proudly on his bedroom door (“so all our visitors can see it Mummy!”) Thanks again.

I feel sure that Easyread has made a difference…

I thought I would let you know that school have just re-assessed Harry’s reading and spelling ages. In September they were 7.04 and 6.3 respectively. Now they are 8.06 and 7.5. So they have both improved well. I know he is still in the early weeks of Easyread but I feel sure that it has made, and will continue to make, a difference.

Martha loves doing Easyread…

Martha loves doing Easyread. Her reading is coming on leaps on bounds and she is now reading much longer books as part of her school reading program. I am sure we will notice a big difference when she returns to school in September having done Easyread all summer when other children will not have been in the habit of daily reading.

It helped me a great deal…

I found the course hard at times but it helped me a great deal with my reading. I enjoyed the jokes and would like more of them!

No regrets…

Alexandra and I have a good routine with the course. She is practising her eye-tracking, which she is doing throughout the day (and completeing the wall chart you sent to her). I have explained why she has to do the eye tracking and she is very keen to keep up the exercises (I think the prize at the end of the 10 days has a lot to do with it!!)

Both Alexandra and I are enjoying the course, and the fact that the lessons are so short isn’t putting Alexandra off. Every morning she log’s onto the computer without even being asked. She is now super at reading the decoding the story in the lessons, very fast (faster than me).

I am very pleased so far and happy that I have taken the course on- no regrets. I feel that I am helping her and hopefully we will see a difference with her day-to-day reading at some point in the future. Thanking you,

– R

Thanks so much for the programme…

Thanks so much for the programme. It has certainly boosted Tegan’s confidence when it comes to reading. She still displays much of the dyslexic signs, however she is coping better and her word attack is much better. She has certainly come a long way.

The best teacher that I ever had…

I’ve enjoyed the course and have loved having you as my teacher David. I think you’re the best teacher that I ever had because all my reading has improved.

I hope you had a good time too,

From Tegan (age 9)

Thrilled to bits…

Sophie moved up to the next level of her reading at school today and the teacher told me that she has definitely noticed some improvements in her reading, so I am thrilled to bits! (So is Sophie!)

I will keep you up to date with how she gets on, but for now, I am really pleased with this recent improvement.

Good News!

Good News!
Athol was tested by his support for learning teacher recently in reading. He has progressed by 14 months in a 6 month timescale so well done Athol and Easyread!

Grace's improvement in reading

Thank you for your reply. I have to say that Grace has improved so much in her reading and attitude to it. I am really pleased as when we started this course I was quite desperate. The course seems to have re-programmed her brain and she now blends and sees the letter pairs. She chooses to read and is keen to go up the final level in her reading class at school.Such as difference to before. She has manaaged to win awards at school for an information booklet which she designed and won a book about Polar bears. She then sat and read the whole thing!!

A fabulous report from school…

I have been telling lots of people about what a difference Easyread has made to Jack. In fact he has just had a fabulous report from school saying how much he has improved in reading this year.
Jack is having lots of fun with his helicopter and we are going to get started on spell magic very soon.

Feedback from Jorja's teacher has been good…

Feedback from Jorja’s teacher has been good and there has been an obvious improvement in her reading. Her teacher has also reccomended this system to another parent. As such we will keep doing the Easyread lessons each day as I recognise the importance for Jorja.

The difference has been amazing…

Andrew is soon to finish the course and I have to say that the difference has been amazing. He has just taken his Yr 6 SATS, and although we don’t have the results yet, his teachers have told me he has done well. I am convinced this would not be the case without Easyread.

He is enjoying level 4 of the course, perhaps more so than any of the other levels.  When I think back to October when he started the course, he would never have been able to read this kind of language, and now he reads them easily.

Our very grateful thanks to the team at Easyread.

My reading and writing has improved a lot, thankyou Easyread…

Now I have nearly finished the Easyread course I would like to say how much it has helped me. I have been doing a lesson nearly every day.

I liked the fact that I received all the great spy gifts. I use them a lot. I am looking forward to my helicopter arriving.

My reading and writing has improved a lot, thankyou Easyread.

Anthony's reading has progressed really well…

Having completed the Easyread course in January, Anthony’s reading has progressed really well. He just turned 8 in May and was accessed last week with a reading age of 10 years and 1mth.

We are definitely moving in the right direction…

William’s decoding does seem to be quicker and there is now less guessing. He has also stopped using the extra line background as part of the screen. We were proud to hear he achieved a level 5A in his recent English test (using point evidence and explanation structure). Given that he left primary school with a score of 4 for English SAT tests so we are definitely moving in the right direction. We are loving the graphics tablet too.

Izzie's amazing progress

Well, we’ve just our termly school meeting to discuss Izzie’s progress and on the reading front they are amazed at her progress. They had her reading age assessed in January which came out as below 4yrs and they assessed it again two days ago and she is now at 6.8yrs – just 4 months behind her chronological age (she is 7 in August)!

On the whole, we discussed Easyread at length (for nearly an hour) and the school are very impressed with it and totally recognise the fact that it’s this programme that has helped Izzie – I wasn’t expecting this at all and so was pleasantly surprised. Izzie’s teacher has been to your site and done lots of reading of testimonials and also David’s research.

Slowly but surely…

Some days Connor is brilliant and other days he struggles. However, the days he struggles are slowly but surely, becoming less and less, which is wonderful!

– K

The difference is amazing…

Things are going well with Easyread so far. Short words Sam still guesses sometimes but nowhere near the amount she used to. Her general reading has improved hugely, but as a lot of your testimonials say, it happened so gradually and subtly that we didn’t notice it happening. We’ve recently read the first Alex Rider book together (a page each all the way through) and the difference was amazing. With longer words she’d never seen before she was trying to decode to work out what they were. Almost as encouraging was the fact that she wanted to read it. Six months ago she would have outright refused.

I am relieved that both the boys completed the Easyread program, and was sad to hear David’s final message at the end of Level 4. A bit scare too, not knowing how life will be without Easyread helping us all along with the boys reading.
I am relieved that you do have a Level 5 which Charlie is keen to continue. Alexander is not committed to it yet!
Charile has definitely shown great improvement with his reading and Alexander is showing more and more signs of improvement. Especially when I heard him read Zac Power Test Drive last night-with a little help he was able to read the whole chapter. As his school teacher says, ‘It is all confidence with Alexander, he reads well when his confidence is up’.

I believe they both have the foundational skills for reading after doing Easyread which will see them both do well at school and in life generally. Many thanks to you all. In gratitude and appreciation,

-S
