We also wanted to let you know that Ben sat a SATS test today for his reading at school and his teacher told him that he scored one of the highest marks of the group. You have no idea how amazing that is! Thank you so much for the programme as Ben is now engrossed in “Lord of the Rings” and has to take a book with him every where he goes. We cannot praise your programme enough.

I have recently attended a parents evening meeting at school and was delighted with William’s progress. His reading level has improved two sub levels since September from 3B to 4C. His writing has improved from a 2B to 3C and the improvement in his confidence towards literacy is noticeable.

I see a huge difference in his reading and he has started to read words and small sentence on the side of buses and off tv etc which is so exciting to see.

Luke is always happy to do the lesson each day. He enjoys the lessons and likes the fact he gets to ‘play on the computer every day’! He has his favourite games and he probably does not even realise that he is learning because of the nature of the programme.

He is coming on well and we can already see progress.

Just wanted to let you know that H is now on ‘brown’ reading books which the teacher told me is the level they hope that all the children will reach (or beyond) by the end of year 1 (and it’s only April). It is amazing to think that in July last year, H was at the end of reception and painfully pushing away very simple reading books and I felt at a loss how I could help him which was a dreadful feeling for a parent. I have no idea where we would be now without Easyread.

She’s taken off with the reading; she’s finding the blending much easier and we’ve usually done the 2 pages in a couple of minutes, compared with sometimes not finishing in 10 minutes when we started.

The course has had a very positive effect on Charley’s attitude and confidence. She will now pick up a book, whereas before, she had no interest in doing this whatsoever and it was always a struggle. Charley has found the course easy to use and follow. She is excited because when she finishes the course she will be able to read alot more interesting books on her own.

HE NO LONGER GUESSES AT WORDS AND IS DECODING YOUR WORDS SO QUICKLY ON THE SECOND PAGE OF YOUR STORY I HAVE TO TRY AND KEEP UP TO CHECK TO SEE IF HE HAS DONE IT CORRECTLY. Tristan is doing very well – his reading has come on extremely well and he’s now reading quite confidently. In fact, he finds the Easyread lessons quite easy, so we’re doing more book reading with him too.

Ben is a different little boy since starting the Easyread course. Before Easyread Ben got upset when you picked up a book for him to read and attempting to read was stressful for both Ben and me. Now he asks to read and checks if l I have another book to read when he gets towards the end of a book. He is now reading words like “laughed” with ease. Ben has hardly been stressed at all with the course and on the odd occasion when he has got upset I believe he was just tired after school, on repeating the lesson the next day he was fine. It was with some trepidation when I signed up for Easyread but from day one Easyread has met my expectations and just hope in the next 6 weeks I see as much improvement in Ben’s reading as in the first 6 weeks. One of the key areas of improvement is that he has stopped guessing what words were from the pictures on the page.

So all going well and yesterday (sorry to bore you ) but we played Trivial Pursuit and what a contrast to last Dec when she couldn’t read the questions !!! So thank you it is clearly really helping her improve.

Thanks everyone at Easyread. So far we have been very impressed with the Easyread system. Annabelle is very committed in completing her daily lessons and is now very fast at decoding the story text in the lessons. I have really appreciated all the input, training, monitoring and quick communications from your end. This has really contributed to the success of the program so far I feel. Annabelle is already much happier to read in real life and her confidence seems to have noticeably improved. I look forward to her being able to manage and enjoy more age appropriate texts and for her spelling to improve down the track.

A very big thank you to you and all the team for helping Brandon become a reader through the Easyread system. It has been a huge success for him not only in achieving this goal but also for the confidence he’s gained over the months…even his spelling has improved a little bit! He also WANTS to read now!!

By default, his little sister, simply by watching each lesson is already a good and keen reader at 4 years old.

On the strength of Brandon’s achievements I have already recommended Easyread to several friends and wouldn’t hesitate in continuing to do so in the future.

We are starting to see such a difference with Ava. She really is enjoying your program and we are enjoying the confidence that’s coming with it.

She was so surprised on yesterday’s lesson when she was reading, and then the next page had no text, just the symbols! I wish I had captured her facial expression, it was great, lol.

And she did quite well. She has been decoding and using the symbols to decode, so there wasn’t any difficulty. And at the end she asked if eventually she’d be taught how to spell through this system. When I said I believe so, her smile grew so big.

Her French tutor is happy with her progress as well, she is coming along very nicely with her French. He is teaching her sounds and syllables (as they teach sight reading at her school, which baffled our tutor), so it’s working hand in hand with this system.

The other night she was actually reading off the television! That has never happened before. And last night she read an entire French book to me before bed (with a little help). I couldn’t believe it.

There is also a book fair at school this week and she was right in there, looking for books ‘at her reading level’. Not books that she’d like me to read to her, but books she wanted to read on her own.

We are still a ways off, but her confidence is rising, and she is more fluid then before. Ava’s Tues teacher told me she is quite determined (which is lovely to hear). Oh there is so much to tell, but I will stop there.

Thank you very much. I’ve been singing your praises to many parents with struggling readers here. I don’t know if any will look into you program, but I really wish they would.

Jake reads really confidently in easyread. You’re right that I’ve not noticed such an improvement in normal reading – yet. However, he’s definitely reading more words in everyday life, without noticing that he’s actually reading them!
In regard to the format of easyread then Jake enjoys doing it every day. The story reading is good and Jake says he prefers reading with only the easyread characters! The games are good, but he likes some more than others, so it can be a problem if he gets one he’s not so keen on (hangman for example). Overall really pleased with how Jake is progressing and how his reading confidence is growing.
