And here is a praise report:
Yesterday we checked out some books at the library. I heard Enya in her bed last night decoding a page in one of the picture books she chose! This is a girl who pours over books with longing and spends hours looking at the illustrations, drawing them etc. She has told me before that when she ever opened a book, she would just “blank out” or “erase” the words off the page so she could look at the pictures. Now that she is actually letting the words stay on the page AND trying to read them is just such HUGE progress. I was just so excited she was doing it on her own. We are all very encouraged!
Thanks for the support.
Best,
L
Things have gotten better…
Things have gotten better, the decoding has gotten better. Noah wins all of the decoding challenges, I must brush up on my skills.
He starts first grade tomorrow and we are truly confident in his skills to master reading and so is he.
We cannot thank you enough, but thanks again.
Best wishes,
C
Lena is doing very well and…
Lena is doing very well and we see that she is not guessing very often and this is a big improvement from the start. She looks forward to the mail everyday as well. You all give the best prizes.
She is pleased and we feel her general reading is improving too…
Beatrix was very pleased with how she managed her assessment earlier this week and she was delighted today to get a codeword for a prize. Beatrix says spelling out words is getting easier and she doesn’t appear to be guessing nearly as much as she used to before we began Easyread. She is pleased the next story is Snow White. We feel her general reading is improving too.

A great deal of fun…
We just arrived home to find 2 gifts waiting for Cameron and he is very pleased with them and wanted to me to say thank you. He is really enthusiastic about the course, and receiving the gifts!
Many thanks from me as well as this course is a great deal of fun and he is not really aware he is learning a new skill but its more like playing a daily game which he enjoys.

Magic in Easyread!
So the extreme heat in our city is affecting our Internet and I had to tell Jeremy he couldn’t do Easyread tonight. I thought it was odd he didn’t get upset. Then as I making dinner I hear him sounding out words. I turn around and he’s sitting on the couch reading a book! He is only on lesson 51 and I didn’t expect this for at least 2 more months! He proceeded to sound out words with a little help from me, and then he read a second book!
6 weeks ago he could only read ‘the’, ‘and’ and ‘see’ because he had memorized them. He couldn’t sound anything out. Also, he struggled the first 30 lessons because he just couldn’t blend the sounds and I had to help him a lot. But we worked through it, and look at him now!!! This is the 2nd miracle we’ve had from Easyread. I tell you, there is magic in this program!

Thank you so much!
Now I am almost at the end of the course I wanted to say thank you because it has helped me so much with my reading.
In September I was on Oxford reading tree stage 2 books but at the end of the summer term I was on stage 9! Now I can read longer books by myself and am very happy!

Positive things are happening at our house!
Hi David and Company,
Positive things are happening at our house. Skyler loves her lessons and I can see her confidence building. She set up a special reading area with her books in the room where we school at home. I am personally in love with this program and am telling everyone I know about it. Thanks for all of your hard work! You all are making a difference in the lives of so many people who would be left behind.

Excellent improvement thanks to Easyread
Ben has really enjoyed the Easyread lessons and is now so much more confident in reading and writing. He has had an excellent report from school this year and improved greatly in all areas.
The Easyread lessons have taken him back to basics and taught him that different letters can make the same sound and it is a learning process. He is now working his way through the Secret Seven stories, but in fact is eager and ready to move on to the Famous Five.
We can’t thank you enough for your help – he has completed each lesson happily and is actually sad that it is coming to an end.
We believe that the difference in Ben this year has been down to taking part in the Easyread sessions which have given him the confidence to enjoy reading and writing and to become our “bookworm”.
Many many thanks.

I just want to let you know…
I just want to let you know that all is very well on our end! This week I am starting to see a break through with Will and his reading away from Easyread.
A couple of days ago, he happily read a book that previously would have given him lots of trouble. Typically he only reads books with single line text and often guesses at simple words. This book had stacked text and he only hesitated at 2 b/d beginning words- no guessing on any of the others. And last night (without me suggesting!) he read 2 pages of comics on his own out loud, with little help.
I am also seeing more willingness at trying other things he previously would have put off, like playing math games, writing words and numbers and other things that may seem little, but to me are huge in his moving forward in learning in general.
His Easyread lesson progress seems steady. He is more reluctant to play any games so we have compromised to playing Eggi if he doesn’t choose a game.
So thanks again for your system and support.
Also, for the future prize, fart machines are welcome here. ; )
Yours,
C.

We are delighted…
I am glad to report that Will got a special reward card from his school for all his hard work in English. In addition he has moved from B to A for all subjects for next year (from bottom B to bottom A for English lit specifically and top A for Science and Maths). We are delighted.

MUCH improvement on Easyread
Izzie is finding both games words and trainer text words about as easy as each other. Her general reading – i.e., school books, is MUCH improved. She has recently slowed down a little and reads with a flow. She is taking note of the sentences and if she carries on reading the next sentence as part of the previous, she begins the sentence again – I don’t know how to describe this, but she’s finding the flow of the text and knows when she’s read the flow incorrectly. She is now getting all the frequency words correct in her normal reading without the need to sound out.
She has stopped guessing all words in Easyread and probably about 98% of words in normal reading, only guessing when reading in context and predicting the next word etc if she doesn’t recognise it.
We’ve seen another huge improvement in her reading all round. She is enjoying the game top trumps at the moment and is able to read every single card in the game on her own.
Overall things are good and we’re seeing lots of improvement!

Real improvement
I have noticed that Molly’s decoding skills are really improving. Also she is now starting to read things out, so for example if we are out she will read what is said on signs, cereal packets and on the television. She actually picked up a book at home the other day and started to read it for pleasure which for her is amazing. Her school are trying her on simple paperback chapter books, she is really pleased about this and it has helped with her confidence. On a positive note though i can see when she is reading her books that she thinks any tricky words through decoding them in her mind then she says them out loud.

Easyread 'Magic'!
Louisa and I are happy about Easyread so far. I have particularly noted that her confidence and enthusiasm have grown, where before she was frustrated and almost losing hope. Her decoding is good, and what I love most is that she looks forward to the lessons!
I almost cannot wait to see the ‘Easyread magic’…….though I’m aware it really isn’t magic!

We are thrilled…
We have received Andrew’s Year 6 SATs results-he achieved a level 4 for reading and writing. We are thrilled! I just wanted to share his teachers comments on his report…
‘Andrew has made significant improvement with his reading…his comprehension of texts has improved from the beginning of the year, and his fluency has steadily increased.’
This program has taught me a lot…

I have enjoyed the programme.

We are seeing a positive change…
The children received your letters when we returned from holidays – so thank you for those!
Matt has completed his eye-tracking exercises and did a fabulous job of doing lessons at home.
We are seeing a positive change in both Matt and Giovanni as far as confidence in the classroom, which is fabulous!

My kids are getting noticed!
A nice compliment: I was taking my 84yr old Dad to the Doctor the other day with Magdalena & Hamish in tow. They helped hold open doors as I wheeled Dad into the waiting room. Once inside they made a beeline across the room where the TV and two other children were. After signing Dad in I sat down next to a couple I’d guess who were in their 60’s. The woman leaned over to me and said, “You must be doing something right!” I was puzzled as to why she said that so I asked, “Why?” She replied, “Because your children ran right over to the books! I haven’t seen that all summer!” Sure enough, Hamish and Magdalena each had their noses in a book. A few feet from them were two children playing on some ‘device’. Wow, did I feel proud!. After the normal amount of waiting time for a doctor’s office, Dad was wheeled into a room with all of us following. When the Doctor came in he said, “Before we start I wanted to tell you that it was noticed that when you came in your children your children ran . . ” . . .uh, oh, I thought . . . he continued, “your children ran straight for the books. My previous patient noticed and I wanted to pass that complement on to you.” It’s the little things like this that make your day! Easyread has certainly helped!!
An excellent program…
Alexander is doing really well with his decoding, we are delighted. Thank you all for an excellent program!

This is changing his perspective towards reading in such a positive way…
I have to say this is a fantastic course for Cameron. He is coping very well with each lesson and is mostly unassisted with each task. He is enjoying this course as it’s not seen as work! Already my husband and I have noticed he is better at decoding words that he has never before attempted. His confidence is also on the up.
Before we started this course reading anything was a chore but now we are looking forward to each daily session. His attitude was not positive as he knew he would struggle but now he is able to make an attempt and he is seeing progress himself.
Thank you so much as this is changing his perspective towards reading in such a positive way.

Better and better…
We are very happy with the progress Beatrix is making and her confidence is growing each day. The Jungle game is a great starter for her, and her reading of the story is getting better and better. The prizes are a great surprise and motivator.
