We have found Easyread to be well planned and structured…

We have found Easyread to be well planned and structured and in three bite sized pieces per lesson which has helped Elizabeth to concentrate better. The variety of fun games as well as reading text from a story have worked really well for her especially as she is usually easily distracted. Elizabeth is enjoying the lessons and I can already see progress and more of a desire to read which was not there before we started easyread. Thanks so much for your excellent course.

I cannot understand anyone not liking your wonderful system…

I cannot understand anyone not liking your wonderful system. Yes, its a lot of money to find when things are financially hard, but no, its not that expensive when you consider how “bloody marvellous” it is… i believe my daughters wouldn’t be reading anyway near as good as they are if it wasn’t for easyread…Chin up guys you’re doing a fab job out there for all the little and not so little ones out there….

Matthew is six weeks into the course right now and we have seen a huge difference already. We are very pleased. His confidence has increased and his willingness to attempt to decode words, in his surroundings and outside of his lessons, is very encouraging. He enjoys the games and the expectation with the story passage is reasonable so he does not get discouraged or overwhelmed. I can’t wait to see what the next six weeks bring! Thank you for your wonderful program.

I would be very happy to recommend…

I would be very happy to recommend your Easy Read system to anyone of any age who has difficulty in reading and writing. In fact, I have recommended Easy Read to a friend of mine who’s 10 year old nephew is “a bit slow” and having problems with reading and writing at school.
I found the Easy Read system very easy to set up. What both my husband and I liked was the fact that you could take as long as you needed to perfect your reading and writing skills. We were very impressed with the video where you explain how the brain works and how the Easy Read system helps to build up the links in the brain to the sections dealing with reading and writing.
My husband has always had difficulty reading and writing and, because this system was “one to one” on-line he preferred this to a class. What we both found especially helpful was the constant assessment during the whole course and regular telephone calls discussing my husband’s progress were very encouraging. Not only are the reading skills constantly assessed, but there are tests for the eyes which can pinpoint specific problems, and specific advice given about how to correct these, with advice for your Optician. This kind of help was invaluable.
We always found everyone at Easy Read very approachable and no matter how small we may have thought the problem was, sound advice and explanations were always helpful. I would recommend Easy Read because it provides an “all round” service from teaching reading and writing skills, to pinpointing optical problems which may have previously hindered the person’s learning skills.

Ella really enjoys Easyread…

Ella really enjoys Easyread because each lesson is so short it is not a chore and she really enjoys the games. She has picked up the characters very quickly (quicker than me!). It makes sense to her and her confidence with reading has already improved I think because she is able to read any word in Easyread using the characters, it all seems more possible for her…not so scary.

Jenny's reading has improved alot…

Jenny’s reading has improved alot. There is an improvement in her spelling as well, though we are only just seeing this happen. I know it is early days and her enthusiasm and hard work will pay off.

Easyread has been great so far…

Easyread has been great so far for Theo.He could only read very basic words before and didn’t have the confidence to decode more difficult words. He has become much more confident and is more fluent within easyread.I am looking forward to this progressing to his normal reading in a few weeks. Thanks very much for your help so far.Rachel

We are working hard and Joshua is progressing well…

We are working hard and Joshua is progressing well. He is becoming more confident in decoding his words. It seems to be starting to translate this to his school book reading as well.
Many thanks,

Matthew is doing fine with his easyread lessons…

Matthew is doing fine with his easyread lessons and still does them without much prompting. I think he is doing really well and in his school report this year his reading has been brought up to what is expected for his age. I know school have put a lot of effort into his reading, but the de-coding method used in his easyread lessons are undoubtedly helping tremendously. He is finding the lessons quite easy now, though I have noticed you are introducing longer words and he is managing to de-code these quite quickly and I can see his confidence growing.

As for the next Prize of “fart machine”. I think it is a great idea and Matthew would never forgive me if I was to turn it down. You obviously know what 8 year old boys like and what it takes to motivate them. Keep up the good work.

I am pleased to say that we can see clear improvements…

I am pleased to say that we can see clear improvements with oscar’s reading. He is far more fluent and best of all is that he is asking to pick up a book and read to himself. This is something that he has never done before.

We really coudn't be happier…

We really coudn’t be happier.

12 months ago we hadn’t even heard of Easyread and Cal was ducking reading and really struggling.

You should know that last night he read the first two pages of Lord of the Rings out loud! That is how far he has come and he’s promised himself that he will read “To Kill a Mockingbird” as his first book.

I understand that he’s about half way through the course now but his writing has already improved beyond recognition – we plan to scan in his writing from 12 months ago together with something from now so you can see (and hopefully make use of).

His decoding is working well hence his success with Lord of the Rings and his spelling is coming on leaps and bounds and he now insists on trying to spell everything that he writes – for exaple putting an item on the shopping list.

The results haven’t just helped him read – your’s is the last part in his jigsaw – he has confdence from his work as a Referee and Police Cadet – but there was always something that hung like a shadow over him. That something has gone with the growth in his confidence in his ability to read.
THANK YOU
-Kevin

Scarlett seems to be doing well…

Scarlett seems to be doing well – is keen to do it every day and its become very much part of her daily activity. Her school report mentioned the work she is doing at home and said it really seems to be helping so even thought we are only halfway through, it seems to be having a positive effect. She is eager to improve.
All the best.

Ben is thoroughly enjoying Easyread…

Ben is thoroughly enjoying Easyread. We rarely have to prompt him to do his lesson, in fact it is usually him prompting us!
Although you say that you would’nt normally see an improvement in normal reading at this stage, we have see an improvement. He is still guessing but when we indicate that he has read a word incorrectly he will immediately stop to decode the word. I have seen small signs of him starting to flick through the different sounds a letter or group of letters may make, eliminating the wrong ones until he finds the correct word. This has only happened a couple of times but is definitely new and I am sure a result of his Easyread learning.

Most importantly, Ben’s confidence with reading has improved significantly. He will now choose to read in situations where he would never have done so previously – silly things like the cereal box or posters we pass in the street – but still reading. Previously he would frequently nag us to read messages on his DS games. Now he reads them himself and often asks what words mean which is also new. He chooses to read books to us at bedtime rather than insisting we read to him.

So all in all, we are delighted with Easyread and so is Ben. The only person who isn’t is his sister who is a fantastic reader and feels a little left out! Thank you so much.

I am now very good at reading…

Msg from Alex:-
I am really impressed with my work on Easyread. I have enjoyed progressing through the levels and games. The prizes have been really good and I am looking forward for the last prize. I am now very good at reading and now enjoy reading.

A big thank you to all at Easyread.

Msg from Mum:-

Thank you so much. Alex is now keen to read and it has helped his school work no end, he is now a confident reader and spelling has improved significantly in the last month or so. It is just wonderful to see the enthusiasm for reading rather than the struggle we had every week to read his school book before we started Easyread. The prizes were brilliant especially when he was getting fed up with the daily practice.

We shall be continuing with the follow-on material as much as possible over the summer for practice so he will be ready for his next year at school, as he still will guess a big word when he is rushing to the end of a sentence! Along with more trips to the book shops! He is now half way through his first story book Billionaire Boy by David Walliams which he is really enjoying. It’s just wonderful to see.

Thank you to everyone at Easyread.

Claire

All going well…

I am so impressed with the Easyread system…

I am so impressed with the Easyread system! I noticed a massive improvement in Jaydon’s confidence and enjoyment of reading from very early on. Now that we are well into the system, I can defintely see an improvement in his reading on Easyread. He frequently tells me how easy the system is, and how clever he is because he is doing so well. It is never a struggle to get him to do Easyread (particularly level 2 – level 1 was quite a lot of information in a very short time and felt more difficult at the time.) I am amazed, especially when he is reading using only the Easyread characters, that he sounds out some words just as quickly as I can!

I know you said there might not be a significant improvement in his normal reading just yet, but I think there has been a noticeable improvement. From the start of the school year, we were told he needed a “hurry up” in his reading. Fast forward to now and I think he is in the top reading group, reading easily at the level expected for his age. I don’t care about what reading group he is in but it is just to illustrate that he has obviously shown an improvement in the classroom too. What I am most excited about is that he is confident to try reading all sorts of things now. He will see a sign as we are driving, sound it out and work out what it says. Same goes for his the books in his bedroom. He is also applying Easyread skills to the books he is bringing home. He is even helping to teach his younger brother how to sound out and blend sounds together. Fantastic!!

So all in all, we are happy. Keen to get his younger brother on it when he turns 5.

Happy for you to quote anything I’ve said.

Many thanks, Shanel

Millie is as keen as mustard…

Millie is as keen as mustard at the moment, even getting up at 6.30am to do the reading before school! Millie does not normally do mornings! So far so good.

Thanks for the support and encouraging message to Mia. After talking to you this week I really feel like it’s worth all the effort. Mia had a really good school report this week too so she’s feeling really positive about her abilities.

After six weeks into the course I am beginning to…

After six weeks into the course I am beginning to see significant changes in Owen’s attitude and confidence towards reading text and single words. In general day to day activities Owen is attempting to decode words on signs and posters ect. on his own and getting them correct. Slowly but surely he is beginning to connect with words in his environment and contribute his understanding .
It took awhile for Owen to feel confident with the lessons , but with the constant praise and recognition from the Easyread team , every day he swings into action and he believes now that he can do it !
I am so proud of Owen for his persistence and resilience with his reading and after so much research into reading programmes
I am assured that Easyread is targeting the crucial issues facing children with learning difficulties and I know could not undertake this task on my own.

Before we started Easyread…

Before we started Easyread, every attempt to get Gregory to even look at a book, or read anything at all was a huge struggle. He had no confidence at all and hated it. Now it’s very different. From the very beginning he was very happy to settle down and do his 15 minutes each day. Although still not very fluent, (we’re only at lesson 30 however) he decodes each word very carefully and has gained huge confidence in being able to piece together the story. He loves the games and jokes and I think half our battle has been building his self-esteem in this area.
